The Battle of Algiers
An amazing film by Director Gillo Pontecorvo (1966) about the violent struggle in the late 1950s for Algerian independence from France. If you haven't already seen this film, please, please do yourself a favor and watch it and then ask yourself: what are the Iraqi "insurgents" really fighting for? Freedom? Dignity?
See trailer.
A Seattle peep-show girl shares stories of her customers and adventures stemming from her bare-it-all behavior.

Post a CommentHardly. They are fascist thugs for the most part. If they were interested in a better Iraq they would take part in th elections.
Men who've seen their God's name scrawled upon the bombs that kill their kids and wives?
Men who've lost their jobs? (and are excluded from their own reconstruction)
Men who've lost everything?
Men with no home . . . or country?
Men who've seen their own tortured and humiliated on t.v.? Shot on t.v.?
. . . and Men crazy from war?
I think you are pollyannish to suggest that a pseudo election born from an illegitimate war is democracy.
